This place reminds me of my childhood memories. Our family would often eat here. Sighs…I miss my parents and siblings. 

This famous Filipino restaurant is known for their Chicken Barbeque. What’s the secret why their patrons keep coming back for this dish? This is served with steaming java rice coupled with a thick peanut sauce. The taste and quality is still the same as I have tasted when I was young. The chicken is perfectly cooked. Its aroma goes well with its unique sauce. No restaurant here in the metro could match their barbecue in terms of taste and quality!

Aside from the mentioned signature dish, there are also other equally delicious foods served in this resto. Their crispy pata and sinigang are also definite highlights. They really cater to the palates of Filipino diners.

Their sizzling gambas with lots of garlic are a highly recommended appetizer. Even though deliciously satisfying, still it will not spoil your appetite for the main course.

For vegetarians, their lumpiang ubod is a must-try..The same is true with kilawin.

Another unique about their food is their kare-kare. For those who have not gone yet to Aristocrat, this heavenly food is served with their own brand of bagoong.

Because it has been a family destination, this resto will always have a special place in my heart. I will always be coming back to a place that has been a part of my childhood life.

Malate is well known as one of Manila's night spots. But, after the disco's and bars close down for the night, people invariably look for somewhere to eat and wind down. Which, in the wee hours of the morning, may pose something of a challenge.

Alas, one should fear not. The Aristocrat is open 24 hrs. And, the clientele is as varied as the food it offers. You'll find call center agents, bar-hoppers, families out for early breakfast and even business clad types dining after pulling an all nighter. 

The service is great. The waiters bustling about to deliver heaping plates of barbecued chicken and pork with its famed sauce(price range from P300-P400). And, with the recent addition of its bakeshop, customers can round off their meal with luscious cakes and breads, which can be ordered in slices (P50-P60) or whole (P500-P700).

The Aristocrat has seen a long generation of Filipino customers that it has even become a household name. The tradition of fine family dining at a budget price has served it well. Truly, it will continue to stand amongst the high spots in Manila in the years to come.

Ask every Filipino... do you know where to eat chicken barbeque... only one restaurant comes into mind..... The Aristocrat.  It's been more than 70 years that this fabulous restaurant has been opearting.. from it's humble beginnings to which the  original resto still lives in the middle of Roxas Blvd. where the best sunset in the world can be seen, to the modern set-ups in almost every mall you see in the country.

The tasteful palates of food will surely satisfy your hungry tastebuds and will leave you with a 6 pack... haha... a very shapey stomach that is.  This classical resto serves many sumptuous Filipino foods, from the tasty KARE-KARE (Beef Caserole)  to the very Crispy  Pata (Pork Hind).  But we will always and forever have the most popular dish in the Resto, the 3-pc Chicken Barbeque with yummy JAVA Rice.  This is how you eat it... first you open a pack of a sweet and very tangy peanut sauce... yum... and then you start with the chicken.
But before anything else don't forget to wash your hands.. take the chicken by the stick and taste the sumptuous chicken... take the skin of the chicken, dip in the peanut sauce and the next thing that you're doing is having your hands on the chicken.... you just can't stop when you start to have it... you taste the rice and mix it with Atchara (sauteed vinegared vegetable with cucumber) and it tastes heavenly... you just have to try to figure out for yourself...

Lastly top it off with a glass of Gulaman at Sago, a local drink, sweet and tasty.  The service is top-notch, you won't even to ask they just know what you need.

I never get tired of eating at this place.... I believe my great great grandchildren will still savor the taste of this fabulous for decades and decades more to come.

This restaurant is an institution along Roxas Boulevard in the Malate area. It was started by the Reyes family and they stake their reputation on their secret BBQ chicken and pork. Think morsels of juicy meat or a nicely charred piece of chicken on a skewer, served with an orange colored rice pilaf (java rice), pickled papaya on the side and the house BBQ sauce, sweet, peanuty and yummy!

An extensive menu will look daunting to first timers, their sushi is not too bad, other Filipino favorites like chicken arroz caldo (congee ala manila) or honey fried chicken is tried and tested but I'd stick to the bbqs!

There is an alfresco dining area for smokers but most people escape the smothering heat in the air conditioned dining room.  Service is efficient, the bathrooms are spotless just bothersome with all the vendors and riffraff outside, then again it is Manila. They accept most major credit cards and most importantly are open 24 hours, the perfect place to come home to from the airport after being away for so long!

This restaurant started as a food cart in 1936, their flagship restaurant is now a landmark in Manila and they have several franchises. They are famous for their Barbecue Chicken Honey which comes with java rice and their special sauce which has a very unique peanut taste. 

Famous with the old regulars is a sandwich that is called “Cliff House”. It is a triple deck clubhouse dipped in batter and deep fried to a golden brown color. The sandwich is filled with chicken spread, bacon, ham, and cucumber slice.
