Lonely Planet review for Seafood Wharf

At Seafood Wharf you can pretend you’re swimming with the fishies in their Olympic-sized pool, then have one for lunch in the seaside restaurant.

I had the grave misfortune of visiting this restaurant around 9pm the last time.

Seafood Wharf is an open-air restaurant seemingly elevated above the ground on wooden planks. I could see numerous roaches crawling underneath the floor planks and I was too worried that they might climb through the little gaps and make it to our table... which they eventually did! I could barely eat because I was too busy watching my feet and the roaches. I just wanted to get it over with as fast as possible.

Seafood Wharf has a wide selection of live fresh fish, clams, crabs, and other sea creatures which they will cook upon order. Too bad I was in no condition to appreciate their offerings because I was terrified of the roaches. I don't know if the problem is where we sat or the late evening time, but I had been here before and I didn't experience the roach problem then. I even remember enjoying the seafood. Too bad the memory of the roaches is all that I have since that was what I experienced on my last visit and it made me never want to return.
