Itinerary

Day 1 Lima

Visit Peru and travel to Lima. Peruse ornate churches and colonial buildings on a walking tour of Lima.

Days 2-3 Amazon Jungle

Accompanied by a local guide, traipse through the steamy Amazon Jungle and learn about life in this unique ecosystem - from the medicinal properties of the native plants to the weird and wonderful creatures unique to the area. Fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

Days 4-5 Cuzco

The Plaza de Armas is the heart of historic Cuzco and from here there is plenty to see and do in the city and surrounds. Visit the Coca Museum, where you can learn about how important this plant is for locals, and shop up a storm at the bustling San Pedro market.

Day 6 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo

Practise Quechua during a community visit. Visit Ollantaytambo - a hint of the ancient Inca wonders to come.

Day 7 Aguas Calientes

A relaxing train ride through the winding Urubamba Valley leads to the town of Aguas Calientes, at the foot of magical Machu Picchu.

Days 8-9 Machu Picchu/Cuzco

Marvel at the grandeur of South America's most spectacular archaeological site on a guided tour. Set against the backdrop of forested mountains, seeing Machu Picchu for the first time is a truly breathtaking experience. Return to Cuzco to shop and explore.

Days 10-11 Puno/Lake Titicaca

Be enchanted by the striking scenery and unique cultures on a cruise around Lake Titicaca. Stop by the amazing floating Uros Islands, which are created entirely from reeds. Then call into Taquile Island for some woollen handicrafts.

Days 12-13 Lima

Discover a pre-Inca burial ground at Sillustani. End this adventure back by the seaside in Lima.
