Getting around
Mototaxis cruise the streets like circling sharks. A short ride in town is around US$0.30, to the bus stations US$0.60, and to the airport US$0.90. A great way to see the region is to rent your own motorbike and go off and explore. Motos Ride (53 1314; Alfonso Ugarte 424) rents 110cc scooters (US$1.80/US$18 per hour/day), and 125cc off-road bikes (US$3/US$30 per hour/day). Assuming you can handle the road conditions (eg nonexistent road rules), you can visit many of the sights mentioned earlier. Wear a helmet.
