Getting around

The airport (46 4013), 10km northwest of Trujillo, is reached cheaply on the Huanchaco combi (minibus), though you’ll have to walk the last kilometer. It will cost US$0.60 and take around 30 minutes. A taxi from the city center costs US$3 to US$4.50.

A short taxi ride around town costs about US$0.50. For sightseeing, taxis charge about US$7.50 to US$9 per hour, depending on distance.
