Museo de Historia Natural.....about just right.

    cachalote71 recommends this,

This museum is small; however, it is small in a good way. You can see all displays in less than 3 hours. Upon entering the museum you are greeted buy an Andean condor. The collection varies from marine animals, terrestrial animals and fossil animals.
The fossil collection is extensive with ancient ground sloths, mastadons, and whales. There is a hall of reptiles, birds, and fish. Dinosaurs are represented by an impressive display of Carnotaurus (a horned carnivore).
Outside the museum is a garden of the flora of the region. Also there are more animal displays such as the recontruction of a gigantic extinct caiman (alligator) and the articulated skeleton of an adult male Cachalote (Sperm Whale).
All in all, this museum is just right and a good morning diversion.
