Lonely Planet review

Backed against the ruins, this modern lodge with a sprawling lawn is a real retreat, thanks to the welcoming staff and the helpful attention of its Scottish owner. The ample, cozy rooms feature powerful hot showers that melt your muscle aches. Wi-fi is available in the common area. Breakfast includes yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit and eggs.

In addition to guided treks and horse rides, staff can point you towards a number of worthwhile DIY hikes.

Our independent authors have visited Apu Lodge and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Ollantaytambo.
