Lonely Planet review for Granja Heidi

Follow the pictures of cows upstairs to this light Alpine cafe with terrific fresh produce, yogurts, cakes and other snacks on offer. The hot breakfasts are gigantic, and can satisfy any carnivorous cravings you may have.

    One of many

    incakola recommends this,

Away from the centre and San Blas you can find similar 'menú del día' for one third of the price. Had lunch there on a few occasions and everything was OK.

    Great food and service

We had the menu with the trout. Every course was great, and the dessert was fantastic. Not cheap but very good.

    A dairy lovers paradise

    cassiopeia22 recommends this,

Perhaps the best find, aside from the ruins, in this often over-run town. Stepping through the doors of Granja Heidi is like stepping into an oasis of calm. Big wooden tables, high ceilings, large open windows and fresh flowers on the tables all add to its charm. Featuring flaky pastries to rival the best in Europe and a selection of hand-made dairy products made from the milk from their own cows, this is a one of a kind destination. The lunch of the day is a very reasonably priced three-course affair based around the best of local produce. Although everything is standout their breakfasts are particularly noteworthy. Don’t leave Cusco without stopping by this gem.

    Missing Home, Visit Here

    smileykrn recommends this,

I have been to Granja Heidi twice in the summer of 2008. The restaurant is almost always filled with tourists and in fact, I visited the place a few times before I was able to be seated (make reservations if you plan to go for dinner - the restaurant has only 7-9 tables). I would describe the food as European with a Peruvian twist and the owners take great pride in their food- all homemade. If you are in Sand Blas and craving some crepes or good pumpkin soup, definitely stop by.
