Bus & tram

Bus

Combis and minibuses go south along Bolívar to Terminal Terrestre (US$0.60, 20 minutes), next door to the Terrapuerto bus terminal, but it’s a slow trip via the market area.

Local transport

Taxi

You can often hire a taxi with a driver for less than renting a car from a travel agency. Local taxi companies include Presidencial Express (20 3333) and Ideal Taxi (28 8888). A short ride around town costs around $0.70. A trip from the Plaza de Armas out to the bus terminals costs about US$1.
