More than a confitería, this traditional place (it's been going since 1960) serves everything from sandwiches to curried rabbit and garlic pizza. Try the surubí casa nostra (a superb selection of different pasta types and flavors on one dish).

    Great spot downtown

    I've been living in Asunción for about 4 months now and the Bolsi has turned into my go-to spot downtown. It has the only "happy hour" specials I've been able to find in the city and I'm a big fan of their pizza. The crowd is definitely local and in good spirits and I've never had any complaints about the service. I prefer to sit outside on the tiered patio but I like the option to sit inside at the U shaped diner (definitely reminds me of a traditional mom and pop place back in the states) or the more formal dining. The fact that they are open 24 hours is a bit dangerous and while curbside lomito stands in Asunción are great, if I'm in centro, I'd rather stop by The Bolsi for late night food.

    The Bolsi is a family owned business that opened in 1960. One of the most well known places to enjoy a meal or coffee in Asuncion. Also it's open 24 hours a day and has daily happy hour.
