Lonely Planet review
A good second fiddle to the Rabaul Hotel. The squarish building is nothing flash, but it's calm, tidy and well managed. Rooms are ordinary but bright and well furnished. A series of funkadelic murals add a splash of gaiety in the corridors. Rooms 17, 18, 20, 21 and 22 have the best views. The hotel's pièce de résistance, though, is its well-tended swimming pool - the perfect salve after a long day's sightseeing or walking. Other perks include a restaurant and a bar. Accepts credit cards.
