Thanks so much for all the feedback on the other thread, you guys are great. I will respond soon.

I have a major problem with luggage, I am actually moving from the US to Europe and in between I have this trip to Panama, so I have a guitar and a large suitcase. I thought I could leave it with a friend in David but it's not an option anymore. Does anybody have any idea if I can find a paid storage somewhere? I don't know if David airport has any storage but it might be quite expensive for 20…

Hello! Im Theo, from the UK and am 20 years old! I have now booked tickets to Cancun for the 15th of July 2015 then fly back to the UK on the 17th of September 2015. Im planning on seeing all eight of the countries in Central America in this order South Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.

Now I know that seeing all these in such a short space of time will be a challenge, but will it be possible? How easy is it to get back from Panama City to…

Hello All!

I have 20 days between Panama and Costa Rica July 9 -29, I am trying to limit my travel time and pick four or five places where I will be spending 3 to 4 days each.I am flying in and out of David and that I cannot change. After much reading on the forum I think my priorities are the following

  • Osa Peninsula (with the caveat that I might or might not go into Corcovado NP)
  • Bocas del toro (I am just concerned that this will be too crowded, are there less crowded beaches in bocas at…

After completing our PADI in Bocas we are heading to Santa Catalina to hopefully dive at Coiba. Does anyone have any first hand advice for companies to use there? Were currently not far out of David but will have to take I think 4 buses to get there. Were only planning on staying a few nights then heading down to Panama city.

Anyone have any recommendations for a hotel/hostel (private room, private bath) in the canal zone for about $25 - 30 a night?

We travel to Panama City, the Canal Zone and Bocas del Toro in September. Do you think it is necessary to wear long pants and sleeves the whole time due to the mosquitoes? My youngest will be 5 years old. Thanks!

I'm looking for a nice place In a couple of days to stay between Boquete and Tortuguero. We were thinking of staying in San Jose but it doesnt seem to be such a nice place to spend a couple of days of our spare time. We dont have our own transport so the place should be easy to reach and leave by bus. We want to go via the westside or highlands of CR because we're doing Puerto Viejo and Bocas del Toro afterwards. Any suggestions?

I'm wanting to go scuba diving (certified) and explore Isla Coiba on the Pacific coast, without spending a bunch of money. The package options (even the less than luxurious ones) seem pretty expensive. I would love to spend a night on the island (I know there's just the ranger station, and that's fine)... is there some way that I could check ahead of time to make sure there are spots available before I go? I can speak Spanish and negotiate, so a local freelancer could be an option, but I've read…

Were nearly at the end of our time in Bocos and have really loved it here. We now have a sailboat cruise to Colombia book for the 6th of July departing from Portobello.

We are planning on leaving Bocos maybe on the 21st/22nd and heading island to a hostel called "Lost an Found" on the road to Boquete. From there we have no real plans and I was after some hints and tips about the award journey down.

Would people recommend spending a week in Panama city or are there other site to see on the way…
