I'm trying to figure out how to travel from Panama City to San Isidro de General or San Gerardo de Rivas. I looked up the routes on Ticabus and they go past San Isidro to San Jose. I'd rather not have to back track so I'm wondering what my other options are or if there is a way to stop in San Isidro before reaching San Jose. I'm having a hard time finding specifics online so any information would really help. Thank you for any info you can provide, it is very appreciated!! :)
I'm looking to travel between Panama City and San Jose, Costa Rica. There is a very cheap flight available on Air Panama - I'm just slightly skeptical of booking through their website (as there are some old posts on scams etc). Does anyone have any recent experience with the airline?
Hello all, I am flying into Panama City at the end of May and will be visiting Boquete and Bocas Del Toro. I will be looking to catch some fish on the fly but do not know anything about these areas, where to hit and what to use. There is little info on fishing in Panama! Does any one have any recommendations or do's/don'ts?
We'd like to explore the most interesting sights in Panama in about 11 days (net of arrival/departure days), perhaps incl. rafting, hiking (volcan Baro ?), scuba diving, snorkeling.
We could either travel end May to early June or end July to early August.
Do you have any suggestions re the best itinerary and good (about 4-star category) hotels to stay at?
We're both fluent in Spanish and experiences travelers.
I have done extensive research and am just looking for a little practical guidance. First, I am a 31 year old male and will most likely be traveling alone. I will arrive in Panama around midnight on a Sunday night and will be departing around 3:00 pm the following Monday, so a total of seven full days and a partial day on the last Monday.
I really enjoy diving, surfing, eating, chilling, and experiencing local culture. Two places that have risen to the top of my list are Santa Catalina…
Hi! My girlfriend and I are thinking of going to Panama at the end of July. We are 36 and 37 years old elementary school teachers/realtor/avid gardeners, speak Spanish and don't know much about Panama. We are not fans of paying money to be dragged around everywhere on tours. We do like camping, biking (bicycle)hiking, latin dancing, meeting friendly locals, exploring nature and wildlife, meeting people from indigenous cultures, etc. We can do cheap lodging as long as it's not dangerous. Any…
Hey! I'm traveling to Bocas del Toro this summer and am also trying to squeeze in some time in Boquete. I'll be in Bocas del Toro for about 5 days and wanted to split the time in both places if that's possible. From what I read it doesn't seem longer than just a 5 hour trip from Bocas to Boquete so I thought this plan was totally doable. I just don't know what are the exact routes and transportation that is used. If anyone has done this trip any input would be great. What shuttle you used, how…
Me and my girlfriend are traveling to Cambutal end of august and first half of september. We like to do some exploring with 4x4 and maybe even camp out for a night. If someone did this can you tell me how about safety in that region, if 'wild' camping is allowed or advisable? And if it's feasible getting around with 4x4. Love to hear your experiences!
Hi people, I will be in Panamá for 12 hours on my way to Europe since there is a lot of time I would like to go to the city or at least to one of the closest shopping mall ( for instances Los Pueblos) does any one knows if there is a place at the airport where I can leave my luggage and then be able to leave the airport? also how much is the exit taxes in Panama?
