Lonely Planet review for Limoncillo [closed]
Panamanian chef Clara Icaza Angelini cooked at some of the best restaurants in New York before returning to her roots and opening one of Panama City's best restaurants. The menu changes every few months, but you can always count on a fresh and creative assortment of plates with delicate spices, such as pan-roasted grouper with grilled asparagus or sautéed sea scallops with Thai red curry sauce.
Incredibly stylish and decorated with an eye for detail, Limoncillo benefits from Angelini's family of artists - many of the paintings, photographs and sculptures in the restaurant were made by her relatives (some are for sale).

THE Limoncillo is closed.
sims09 does not recommend this,
The Limoncillo reviewed by LP is, in fact, closed. The Limoncillo referred to by the previous reviewer is a completely different restaurant. Different owners, no affiliation, and strictly Italian food. Mediocre food at best. The place was empty, which is never a good sign, but the taxi dropped us off there so we decided to eat there anyway. The meal was ok, but it was kind of creepy how two waiters just stood in the dining room watching us the whole time, as we were the only customers in the place. This list needs to be updated because this definitely should not be the #1 thing to do in Panama City.

One of the best dining experiences in all of my travels
pyrluvr recommends this,
I travel the world for a living. In all of my travels this is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants I have encountered. The menu is small but diverse. I have never had a bad meal. The presentation is beautiful, precise, and inviting. The sauces are the star of the show. 5 stars!!!!

A wonderful place to have a great meal.

IT IS NOT CLOSED! IT HAS MOVED.
This is a wonderful restaurant for lunch or a romantic dinner. The prices are moderate and the food is exception.
It used to be in the Calle Uruguay section of Panama City but has moved to a side street, one that connects Calle 50 with Via Poras. It is the same street that Sorrento's Pizza is on, but further in from Poras.
Co-Owner Jennifer speaks English and will greet you and her partner Cara will prepare your food. A chef owned restaurant always had the best food.
Good for lunch or dinner.
