I am looking to spend next fall in Panama and rent an apartment or a cabin for about a month, preferably in Boquete or on the Coast (Bocas or elsewhere).
So far I have found a nice cabin on Isla Bastimentos for about 800$CAD a month, which seems a little high. What would a normal price be? I need access to a kitchen and a good Internet connection for freelance work. Any tips/experience anyone? I heard people would find accomodation for 200$ a month. Any cues?
Thanks in advance!
Hi. We will be in the Boquete area for 3 full days during the first week of August.
As we prefer more authentic and less touristy places, we thought to stay in Cerro Punta.
Do you recommend us to stay all 4 nights in Cerro Punta or only two and the others 2 for example in Volcán? Can you recommend us an under 100$ hotel?
Surely one day we are going to hike Sendero Los Quetzales, where we thought not to go up to Boquete but at some point to go back to Cerro Punta.
What other paths, maybe in…
About two months ago, someone posted about luggage storage at Tocumen (post below). Does anyone know prices or hours?
"In Tocumen Airport Panama there is a place called Consigna de equipage (Baggage storage - Consignee - I do not know its service hours). It is on the lower level, near the arrivals area. To reach it you would have to pass thru immigration and costumes with your bags and then take them to the before mentioned place. After exiting costumes go to your right the place is not…
Hi again, thanks in advance for your input! My partner and I will be in PC for a day, then Bastimentos for 3 days, and we have 3 more days to hike. However, we van't bring gear (this turns into a 6 weeks business trip so our luggage is limited) so camping isn't in the cards for us. This will be in mid August. Any suggestions for somewhere between Bocas de Toro and David (I'll fly back to PC from David, my partner will continue on land to CR) that is nice for a mid-range lodging, good day hikes…
I would like to make the most of a full day in Panama city. Does anyone have a suggestion how to go to Panama Viejo and the Gatun Locks in a day? In the evening, perhaps we'd also explore Casca Viejo? To do this, would we rent a car? Any tips on making the most on our day there (before we fly to Bocas) would be great. Thanks!
Im planning to make a backpack trip in Central/South America and have bought at the moment only 2 flights :
my first flight Europe-PANAMA and my flight back one month later Brazil-Europe.
Between each countries I plan to make some usual road transportation or even boat (small boat or bus depending the country and the boarder)
I read in different places that a proof of exit of the panama territory (flight back for example) was requested, but mine is from a different country and I can not…
We have three days and two nights to spend in between Panama City and Santa Catalina. What would you recommend? We will be traveling by bus. Or we can take a short flight.
It seems too tight to make it to San Blas or Bocas, but maybe not.
We like off the beaten path and don't want to feel rushed. Would like to see the canal and surrounding terrain, but not sure how to access it. We also like chill beaches.
We are going to San Blas islands next week Monday 27th July, we are three girls and we are going to rent a car.
Which islands should be visit? We only have one day.
Also, if you want to come with us, feel free to join.
