My name is Gabriel, originally from France I just made it to panama city and I'm looking for a motorbike with US plates as I'll driving the bike from here to San Francisco where I'll be settling. I've heard that a lot of people are looking to sell their motorbike in panama city because crossing to columbia is complicated.
I have no idea where to look for that. I checked craigslist : nada. Any ideas?
My wife and I will be spending about 10 days at Playa Coronado from Feb 8 to 18th. We want to rent a car for about 10 days to explore the area and have some independence. My research has come up with 4 options:
1. National car rental at the Decameron Hotel in Farallon.
2. Gold Coast Auto in Coronado.
3. Value Motors in Coronado.
4. Beaches Auto in Coronado.
Has anyone advice as to which company would be best?
As asked a few months ago, doesn't seem possible to get the chip card as a new arrival, hence bus becomes difficult./impossible. Any work around?
36 hours to know...lol..thx.
We are planning our trip to Panama and having some difficulties on deciding what to do and where to stay. We are arriving in PTY on 8 December and flying out on 30 December 2014. In total we have 22 days to plan. We would like to see as much of the country as possible during our stay, including culture, hand crafts, beaches, snorkeling, hiking, rainforest, kayaking. We are a couple in our late 20s.
The itinerary so far is:
8-11 (2 days) Panama City
11-15 (4 days) flying to Bocas del Toro…
I am planning to go to Coiba some time in the second half of December. I would like to go to do some snorkling and hiking. Is it feasible to go without a tour?
I'm trying to get more information about flights into eastern Guna Yala. I read that the air panama website and info you can get on the phone is not super reliable, and this was confirmed through email. Basically, I want to know if there is an airport with regular flights between puerto Obaldia and Mulatupo. I see several airstrips on google earth, But none are listed as destinations on the air panama website.
If there aren't any other regular flights, I would like to know if there are…
can anyone supply current info on a trip to San Blas I understand there are flights or authorized 4x4 transport (where do they pickup?).
I want basic accommodation but want to get some good snorkeling. any suggestions?
prefer clean, my one pet peeve about Panama is the garbage
Hello all. We had a hotel booked in Casco Viejo (The Panamericana) from Dec 16-20 but unfortunately we've just been contacted to say this hotel has closed down. Our dates are fixed, and when we're in Panama City we'd ideally like to stay in the Casco Viejo area. However, after a search of the usual avenues I'm struggling to find somewhere within our budget (let's say under $100 a night)... everywhere seems to be booked up or at a fiendishly high price! Does anyone have any particular tips?…
Flying to Panama City from Medellin next week with Viva Colombia, landing at Pacifico airport (old US Howard Air Force Base) in late afternoon. Have tried unsuccessfully to find details about bus to centre. Does anyone know if there a is a service as believe VC is only airline to use this facility?
Secondly, I have 18 days to reach San Jose/Costa Rica to start a trip there over Christmas.
Panama City/Miraflores Locks - 4 or 5 days.
El Valle/Sante Fe - (not sure…
I will be in Bocas del Torro in about a week and I only have a Mastercard and a Maestrocard with me.
I heared that in Panama Mastercard is rarely accepted, thats why I am posting here, hoping that someone can tell me: If I can withdraw money on an ATM with a Mastercard or Maestrocard and if these cards are mostly accepted by hotels and diving shops over there.
Best regards from Costa Rica,
