Hey there, i've seen it's a general topic but still didn't find the right info.
I'm flying into Panama, flying out of Guatemala with different airlines, within 2 months.
I'm going to travel Nicaragua, Salvador and Guatemala, so my idea is more or less to travel Panama to Managua directly (or with some stop in CR). I know some people will think skipping CR is crazy, let's discuss it in another post, I have my reasons ;)
anyway, a first idea would be to buy some refundable ticket out of panama…
Looking to find any gender companion to travel to Panama and Costa Rica early September 2016 for 2 months. I am senior, world traveler and multilingual. I enjoy visiting small towns, markets, light hiking, snorkeling, riding local transportation and cooking my own food when possible. I usually stay in hostels and backpackers in order to be around people and do things together. I travel my miles and will be using Spirit Airlines miles for that trip. For the time being, I am reading the LP travel…
I've booked 4 days in Panama before meeting friends in Costa Rica for a longer trip through the region.
Ultimately- I need to get to San Jose. Originally, I was just going to fly to San Jose, but now I'm thinking of maybe spending one night in Bocas del Toro and continuing from there to Costa Rica.
Basically - I would love opinions of whether one night (and one full day) in Bocas is just silly, given the potential for flight delays and rains in June. Or whether I'll get enough of a…
For all you Mamalla hostel fans out there, I just discovered a new one in Bocas Del Toro. I don't see a website yet but I saw pictures of the hotel and it looks pretty nice and right over the water.
I'm trying to figure out how to travel from Panama City to San Isidro de General or San Gerardo de Rivas. I looked up the routes on Ticabus and they go past San Isidro to San Jose. I'd rather not have to back track so I'm wondering what my other options are or if there is a way to stop in San Isidro before reaching San Jose. I'm having a hard time finding specifics online so any information would really help. Thank you for any info you can provide, it is very appreciated!! :)
I'm looking to travel between Panama City and San Jose, Costa Rica. There is a very cheap flight available on Air Panama - I'm just slightly skeptical of booking through their website (as there are some old posts on scams etc). Does anyone have any recent experience with the airline?
Hello all, I am flying into Panama City at the end of May and will be visiting Boquete and Bocas Del Toro. I will be looking to catch some fish on the fly but do not know anything about these areas, where to hit and what to use. There is little info on fishing in Panama! Does any one have any recommendations or do's/don'ts?
We'd like to explore the most interesting sights in Panama in about 11 days (net of arrival/departure days), perhaps incl. rafting, hiking (volcan Baro ?), scuba diving, snorkeling.
We could either travel end May to early June or end July to early August.
Do you have any suggestions re the best itinerary and good (about 4-star category) hotels to stay at?
We're both fluent in Spanish and experiences travelers.
I have done extensive research and am just looking for a little practical guidance. First, I am a 31 year old male and will most likely be traveling alone. I will arrive in Panama around midnight on a Sunday night and will be departing around 3:00 pm the following Monday, so a total of seven full days and a partial day on the last Monday.
I really enjoy diving, surfing, eating, chilling, and experiencing local culture. Two places that have risen to the top of my list are Santa Catalina…
Hi! My girlfriend and I are thinking of going to Panama at the end of July. We are 36 and 37 years old elementary school teachers/realtor/avid gardeners, speak Spanish and don't know much about Panama. We are not fans of paying money to be dragged around everywhere on tours. We do like camping, biking (bicycle)hiking, latin dancing, meeting friendly locals, exploring nature and wildlife, meeting people from indigenous cultures, etc. We can do cheap lodging as long as it's not dangerous. Any…
