Lonely Planet review
This landmark was built in 1905 by the United Fruit Company to cater for visitors to its local headquarters. Though it isn't a standout, some careful restorations have revived its 18 rooms and original splendor. Second-floor deluxe rooms (eg room 208) with wicker furniture, safe boxes and original oak floors are considerably bigger and brighter than their ground-floor standard counterparts.
Our independent authors have visited Gran Hotel Bahia and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Bocas del Toro Town.
