Lonely Planet review

This remarkable structure was built in the late 1960s. The low-slung mosque is contained under one vast dome (claimed to be the world's largest) with no supporting columns or vaults. The white marble dome has thousands of mirror tiles in its thermally proofed interior, giving the impression of twinkling stars. At times it has been off-limits to visitors.
