Hello everybody !
I am a 26 year-old French solo traveler, planning a trip to Pakistan next summer. I will start in Lahore and go up to Islamabad. I also want to do some trekking around Gilgit and Skardu.
Obviously, my country prevents travelers from going by claiming the whole country is a no-go zone for Westerners.
Truely, how safe is it ? Is it safe to take the bus to Gilgit/Skardu or to take the plane ? Is trekking recommended ?
Thank you so much for all your answers !
last november I was in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. Maybe in June or in August I will travel in Pakistan again. If I will go, I would like to visit Karachi and seaside there. Is in the summer really to hot to go there? Is really not very safe? What is good to see in Karachi? Is somewhere on the beach allowed to swim?
We will be in Amritsar in India for some time, and really want to see Lahore as a side trip.
I have read elsewhere that it's easy to cross from India to Pakistan, but is it easy to cross back from Pakistan to India?
- If I need a multiple entry visa for India, is it best not to say I'm going to Pakistan?
- For Pakistan, how do you show "return ticket/journey" if you're crossing a land border?
Are there any other Americans out there that have recently applied for the Pakistani visa? What are your experiences? I recently applied here in the states and was told that my visa was forwarded to the Ministry of Interior and that it could take anywhere from 3-6 months or longer to be processed. I've heard from one trekking company that told me that recently the MOI has been much stricter with American visas....
Does anyone have further insight or advice on what further actions I can take to…
Is a Polio vaccine mandatory for exit requirement in Pakistan if you've been in the country for only 28 days? I received a polio shot as a child. The travel website says no required vaccinations are required but are recommended. Any responses will be welcomed and much appreciated. Thank you so much.
Hello, does anyone know if they give extension to a tourist visa in Pakistan preferably in Lahore. I'm gonna apply for a tourist visa and they told me they only give 30 days tourist visa. I'm from Czech Republic.
I'm from Lahore and I visited Hunza in 2014 and fell in love with the area. I visited only for 2 days so couldn't explore more but would like to. That is why I have decided to live in the area for atleast a month. Living in a hotel for a month is a bit costly so I would like to know if there are rooms/small house available for rent in that area.
I would really appreciate any help.
New here to this area...... and from what im reading , am i to understand that the minimum one would pay ...just for the visa for Pakistan (UK passport ) is about 250 us all in ? making it possibly the most expensive visa around ... is this accurate ?
