I have been wanting to travel to Pakistan for five years now and finally this summer I have the chance to visit for three weeks. I would be crossing from India to Lahore and then travelling north. I am especially keen to visit Chitral and the Kalasha valleys.

I want to go to Pakistan for a couple of years now, but the visa and other restrictions are getting harder every year.
I like to visit Peshawar, Fairy Meadows, Hunza Valley and Passu, but I heard that you need a NOC for visiting Khyber Pakhtunkawa province nowadays. See source: http://www.dawn.com/news/1116232
I also heard that you need a police guard if you do some trekking in the mountains.

Hi. I am planning to visit Lahore and then continue by bus to Amritsar. I have some questions so I would be very grateful if someone can give me some answers: (I can not find any updated travelguide):
1) Where to stay in Lahore? Some recommended medium Price hotel?
2) How long does it take the trip from Lahore to Amritsar? Any important information regarding borders, for instance? Any recommended bus company?
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
I have the opportunity to spend the upcoming summer with a local Christian family in Murree. They would like me to teach English to their two young daughters. I traveled in Lahore(7 days) and Peshawar(5 days) in December 2014.
I enjoyed walking in Old City ( Walled City )every day.
People were always very kind and friendly .
I fell in love with Pakistan again.( This is my second time to trip in Pakistan. My first time was January 2013.)
Sorry that explanation of below webs are only Japanese language.
But I hope that you will enjoy atmosphere of Pakistani people’s warm hearts from pictures .
I would like to spend a couple of weeks in Pakistan along the KKH, but I am a bit frustrated because I am not able to find either some reliable updated informations about logistic/safety of that part of Pakistan or a updated guidebook. I am aware that accidents have happened also along the KKH lately, but which is the current general safety situation? I would like to cover the KKH from Gilgit northwards, with a trek maybe to Nanga Parbat basecamp, one more trek in the northern section of KKH…
