Getting there & away
Minibuses (Rs 130) run every few hours between the bus yard and Gilgit’s general bus stand. A minibus to Shatial is Rs 70. Local pick-ups will take you from the Chilas bus yard to the KKH for a few rupees, or on to Hodur, Thor or Shatial. Through buses to Rawalpindi pass about four hours after Âdeparting Gilgit.
