We contacted several tour operators and everyone told us that the minimum lenght of travel is 7 days.
As we are deciding the hire a 4x4, we are searching for 2 people to shere the costs.
This is the the approximate itinerary, that tour operator suggested to us, but we could adjust it together...adding places along the way...if you are interested, please contact me in private or write…

Hey Guys,

I know this won't help everyone, but I thought I'd post anyway.

I'm hold an Australian Passport and have recently posted it home from Nepal to the Canberra Consulate in order to get the visa.

I sent it with DHL for 4,000 Nepalese Rupees and it arrived 5 business days later.

No official LOI was needed

I simply found a Pakistani contact through Warm Showers (cycling hosting website) and he signed a letter I wrote for him as well as sending through a colour scan of his national ID…

Hey everyone.

I'm going to visit Pakistan for a couple of weeks in September, from India. I'm leaving the UK in August, so would it be wise to begin obtaining an LOI and applying for the visa now? I'm assuming it can be quite a long process.

Or maybe obtain the LOI asap and apply for the visa closer to the time?

Thanks!

Hi all,
I'd like to visit nanga parbat in winter. I know it is much preferable in summer but winter is the only time I can take a holiday. Whats the best way to get there? I suspect it is private jeep.

Flying seems risky due to weather and cancellations during winter. With the bus you are limited to Gilgit and then you have to hire a private jeep to the village anyway.

So private jeep direct from Islamabad seems to be the best way with minimal hassle. I like to keep things simple as it…

Hi guys. I am currently in the process of applying for a Pakistani visa. I am a British National, and I am applying in the UK. The visa application centre asks for a full itinerary, although hotel bookings are not required for every single night. My time in Pakistan will be part of my round the world cycle trip, going roughly from North to South across Pakistan. Starting at the Khunjerab pass on the Chinese border and finishing in Lahore on the Chinese border. I have included a link with my…

Hello everybody !
I am a 26 year-old French solo traveler, planning a trip to Pakistan next summer. I will start in Lahore and go up to Islamabad. I also want to do some trekking around Gilgit and Skardu.
Obviously, my country prevents travelers from going by claiming the whole country is a no-go zone for Westerners.

Truely, how safe is it ? Is it safe to take the bus to Gilgit/Skardu or to take the plane ? Is trekking recommended ?

Thank you so much for all your answers !

Hello,

last november I was in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. Maybe in June or in August I will travel in Pakistan again. If I will go, I would like to visit Karachi and seaside there. Is in the summer really to hot to go there? Is really not very safe? What is good to see in Karachi? Is somewhere on the beach allowed to swim?
