Itinerary
Day 1 Alice Springs
Arrive at any time.
Day 2-3 Uluru (2B,2L,1D)
Head to Kings Canyon via the Western MacDonnell Ranges and explore the North and South Walls, the Lost City, and the Garden of Eden before heading to Uluru for the night. On Day 3, witness the sunrise over Uluru then enjoy an interpretative walk around the base of the rock. Also visit an Aboriginal arts centre.
Day 4 Coober Pedy (1B,1L,1D)
We depart Uluru driving through the Northern Territory outback to The South Australian town of Coober Pedy, Australia's Opal Capital.
Day 5-6 Port Augusta (2B,1L,1D)
This morning we explore Coober pedy, visiting a local mine - go fossicking, then we head south to the harbourside town of Port Augusta. On Day 6, we drive north to go hiking in The Flinders Ranges National Park, taking in the amazing scenery and the natural ampitheatra that is Wilpena Pound. Return to Port Augusta for the evening.
Day 7-8 Adelaide (2B,1L,1D)
Today we head to Adelaide via the world famous Claire Valley wine area where we'll lunch and taste wine. Arrive in Adelaide late afternoon. Enjoy Day 8 at your leisure, exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 9 Grampians National Park (1B,1L)
Travel east across the state into Victoria to Grampians National Park. We stop at Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre in the afternoon to learn about the indigenous culture of the area.
Day 10 Great Ocean Road/Warrnambool (1B,1L,1D)
Visit the Grampians National Park, enjoying a spectacular walk to the balconies and Mckenzie Falls. Head to the Great Ocean Road to the seaside town Warrnambool for the night.
Day 11 Great Ocean Road/Melbourne (1B,1L,1D)
Travel past some of the world's most famous surf beaches along the Great Ocean Road. Enjoy views of the Twelve Apostles and a rainforest walk in Great Otway National Park. Continue to Melbourne for the night.
Day 12 Melbourne (1B)
Depart at any time.
