Oslo, Norway's bustling capital, has much to offer - fascinating museums, outdoor activities, an eclectic array of buildings, a quirky nightlife and all easily explored by foot.
Days 3-4 Bergen
This beautiful city is surrounded by water on three sides and flanked by hills on the fourth. Bergen is Norway's 'gateway to the fjords' and full of cultural and scenic gems.
Days 5-6 Norwegian Fjords
The fjords of Norway are long watery inlets filled with glaciers, mountains, sheer cliffs, valleys, waterfalls and scenery out of a dream.
Days 7-8 Lillehammer
Famous for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics, Lillehammer is an ideal spot for outdoor activities and has a fascinating outdoor museum and charming town centre.
Days 9-10 Swedish Lakes
Head to the lakeside village of Mora, a laidback town that encapsulates the most Swedish of Swedish landscapes. Be charmed by tiny countryside villages with red log cottages, pine forests and rolling meadows, and admire the work of a meteorite that crashed into the Earth millions of years ago, forming what is today Lake Siljin. Mora is also the home of artist Anders Zorn and the world’s biggest cross-country ski race, the Vasaloppet. Perhaps take a leisurely boat trip across the lake, sink a line to partake in a little fishing or hike around the gentle rolling surrounds.
Days 11-12 Stockholm
Stockholm, Sweden's capital, is sometimes referred to as 'the Venice of the north' and has a great deal to offer with its architecture, parks and clear waters.
Day 13 Aland Islands/Overnight Ferry
An archipelago in the Baltic Sea, the Aland Islands consist of 6,500 skerries and islands, has a very flat terrain and is part of Finland but speaks Swedish.
Days 14-15 Helsinki
A city with a strong sea-faring history and its heart located at its harbour, Helsinki is dynamic, fascinating and full of interesting architecture and cool places to visit.
Days 16-17 Tallinn
With its steep red roofs, cobblestone streets, pastel-coloured buildings, mix of medieval and modern, and new restaurants and bars, Estonia's enthralling capital is a place of wonder.
Days 18-19 Riga
Riga rests on the Daugava River and the city's charm, eclectic architecture, historic Old Town and fabulous food and nightlife has an almost hypnotic effect on visitors.
Days 20-21 Curonian Spit
The Curonian Spit is an impressive 98 km long, thin stretch of land just south of Lithuania's Klaipeda and is filled with sand dunes, animals, wetlands, forests and meadows.
