Lonely Planet review
Located in a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood, this homey pension offers one of the best deals in the capital. The building dates from 1890 and many of the original features (high ceilings, rose designs) remain. Rooms are bright, airy and beautifully decorated, with fridges and kettles, and there's a small garden to lounge about in on sunny days.
It's very popular, so book ahead.
Our independent authors have visited Ellingsens Pensjonat and selected this as one of our recommended guesthouses in Oslo.
