I want to hike in Jotunheimen starting from this Saturday. I didn't get time to organize the trip yet unfortunately, so I need some advice. I live close to Oslo and have a car. Although I don't prefer to drive, that is an option instead of taking buses.
The trip will be 5 days and it should not be very demanding. Where to start? So far Fondsbu seems to be a good option. Which routes to take then?
Anyone wants to join me?

Hi everyone :)
My partner and I are going to be heading to Tromso for 4 nights at the end of our 6 week Europe trip this year. We will be in Tromso from 26 - 30 September 2016 inclusive (we fly back home to Perth, Australia on 30 September).
I have been looking around at all the package tours on Viator and other websites but it all seems too expensive. We are thinking of instead hiring a car and driving around ourselves until we see them. I guess I just want to know what we can expect? We need…
I will be in Bergen with my two children, two boys aged 12 and 13, for the whole month of august. I would like to take them on the Trolltunga hike. I intend taking a day or two to reach the start point of the hike with sightseeing and overnight camping along the way. The Hike self would like to do over two days with an overnight on the mountains as don't want to push the boys or myself as we are not experienced hikers. We have transport and a couple of empty seats with enough baggage space for…
Hello, looking for suggestions for a trip to Norway in Sept. I'll be flying in and out of oslo. Im mostly interested in mountains, fjords, glaciers. Etc. I don't mind cold, I spent 2 months in iceland in December and January. I travel cheap but not homeless gypsy punk hipster style. I want to see Lofoten for sure. Trying to decide between flying and also going to Svalbard, or road tripping and seeing fjords etc on the way. Thoughts?
I plan to take the Geirangerfjord Fjord Cruise on 8th October 2016. It is here that I need your suggestion.
I observe from the website rutebok.no (link: http://rutebok.no/nriiis/Default.aspx?Language=e) that there is a bus (Route No 250) which starts from 11:00 AM from Ålesund Rutebilstasjon and reaches Hellesylt at 1:50 PM. Then as per the website there is a cruise from Hellesylt Ferjekai at 2:00 PM which reaches Geiranger ferjekai at 3:05 PM.
However, when I visit the website…
Usually I'd try and research this a bit more but I'm travelling (camping) with not much internet access.
I'm planning to visit southern Norway for 2 weeks, probably going home around 30th September, or early October, depending on how I fit the trip around a music festival in Kristiansand 23-24 September, starting in Oslo and flying home from Bergen (or maybe the other way around).
I like the outdoors and would like to walk up to Hornelen (I've read one route takes 5-6 hours return…
I know... There won't be too many restaurants and bars that are open on these days, unfortunately. However, does anyone have recommendations for a solo traveler in Oslo during Christmas? I'll be flying to New York City on Christmas Day in the afternoon. Except for spending a few hours walking in the Nordmarka Forest on December 24, I don't have a single clue on how to survive these days in Oslo. I've heard about this organization that welcomes people who don't have anyone to celebrate the…
