Lonely Planet review
Famously the only hotel in North Korea to get CNN, the pink-painted Potonggang was owned by the late Unification Church leader Reverend Moon and has the best rooms in the city. However, it’s rare for groups to stay here as it’s about 4km from the city centre. It nevertheless offers some good restaurants, a bar, pool, karaoke and indoor golf.
Our independent authors have visited Potonggang Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in North Korea.
