Finding my partner and love in the middle of nowhere in Tibet close to Everest Base Camp while I was cycling from malaysia thailandia camboya Laos Vietnam China Tibet Nepal India and more I found him in a dusty hotel and he gave me a lift with the hole of the climbers expedition to Everest ! We took the kids to the Diamond Plaza in Ho Chi Minh so they could let loose in the games arcade for a while. As we were riding the escalator up to the games arcade the music was getting louder and louder. By the time we reached the top my 6 year old red headed son was fully engrossed in the music and exiting the escalator broke into a breakdance sequence including spins on the floor. By the time he got his senses back he realised he had literally stopped the entire parlour and had everybody standing around watching and then clapping. God it was funny!

When I was 17 I travelled through Europe with friends. We had too many adventures to lost here, but my favorite was in the small restraunts in Athens. We couldn't read the menus, so the lovely waiters would escort us back to the kitchens and lift the lids of all of the pots to show us what was cooking. We'd point and nod and they would show us more. More often than not the ladies in our group were given free meals by these lovely restraunt owners, and we left with a lot of hugging and food wrapped to go!

I always heard that Rome at night is magical. This is very much true. Many buildings that are impressive in the daylight look even more beautiful after dark. The tour was great. My guide Alex from www.romeilluminated.com was very knowledgeable, and kept the tour interesting. She knew all the "need to see" places as listed in all guidebooks, and some attractions worth seeing that I never even heard of. I had a great time and learned a lot of neat little tidbits of history. Highly recommend!
