Health & Beauty, Kitsch shopping in North America

    Ricky's

Ricky’s may technically be a drugstore, but it’s not like one you’ve ever seen before. Here, behind the glittery hot-pink toothpaste tube that serves as the Ricky’s symbol, you’ll find a bright space with blaring club music. There are endless shelves of goodies, including bright wigs, a wall of hair brushes, cosmetics, imported candies and gums, aisles of both foreign and ‘only in salons’ hair-care products, hosiery, kitschy tees and toys and, in the back, a selection of sex props. Just browsing is pure fun – and, luckily, there are 15 other locations throughout the city (see the website for details).
