  1. A

    Ramunto's Brick & Brew Pizzeria

The longtime favorite in town, Ramunto's recently moved its headquarters to a new space, but still serves up nicely seasoned pizzas. You can grab a slice and watch the game or enjoy a slice a freshly baked pie al fresco on the front patio.

  2. Klondike

Haines' newest restaurant serves excellent wood-fired pizza, salads and beer that's brewed only two doors down.

  3. Steve's Pizza

So many pizza chains compete for the attention of tourists in South Beach, but ask a Miami Beach local where to get the best pizza and they'll tell you about Steve's. This is New York–style pizza, thin crust and handmade with care and good ingredients. New branches of Steve's are opening elsewhere in Miami, all in decidedly nontouristy areas, which preserves that feeling of authenticity.

  4. B

    Ken's Artisan Pizza

Glorious wood-fired, thin-crust pizzas – and a long wait to try them (no reservations). Super-trendy atmosphere, with huge sliding windows that open to the street on warm nights.

  5. Rip 'n' Richards Eatery

Enjoy the views of the Elk River and surrounding peaks from the deck. But save some attention for the long menu of good burgers, salads and pizza.

  6. C

    Copper Kettle

Regina's favorite pizza joint is actually quite large and stylish, with a wide patio across from Victoria Park. The choice of toppings boggles the mind although you'll be all atwitter if you opt for the sausage, mushroom and sun-dried tomato number. The pizzas have a good, crispy crust.

    Reel Pizza Cinerama

This place caters to the indulgent among us who like munching on good pizza, drinking local microbrews and lounging on couches while watching a nightly flick ($6) on the big screen. Films range from indie and foreign films to the latest Hollywood fodder, with two screenings most nights (usually around 6pm and 8pm).

Still going strong with New York-style pizza slices and overstuffed calzones, Patellini's has some of the best pizza in southwest Florida.

It serves good, Sardinian-style pizza, as well as tortas (sandwiches), ceviche, fish fillets, shrimp and lobster; beer costs M$15.

  15. J

    Presto Pizza

Presto goes NYC style on the pie, and is beloved by northeasterners longing for a thin-crust slice of home. It’s a good, greasy alternative.

  16. K

    Isabella's

This casual neighborhood place has only a few tables, but it's worth crowding in to sample the excellent Italian pies and gourmet sandwiches, made from high-quality market-fresh ingredients.

  17. L

    Thai Pizza Company

Try one of the creative East-meets-West pizzas at Thai Pizza Company, or go old-school and sample some real (pizza-less) Thai off the mix-and-match menu.

  18. Settebello

If you find yourself wandering around lost in the ‘burbs, search out this traditional Neapolitan-style pizzaiolo for wood oven–fired pies.

  19. M

    Mulberry Street Pizzeria

Regularly voted one of LA’s best pizza joints, this red-checkered, low-attitude respite is the spot for New York–style slices – thin, greasy and served up quick.

  20. Giordano's

Giordano's has been in business since 1930, so it must be doing something right. This family-friendly eatery is famous for its fried clams and also serves good hand-tossed pizzas.

  21. N

    Pizza of Waterton

Fine pizza 'to go' (the lakeside calls on warm summer evenings), or in the informal interior where you can wash it down with a cold Canadian beer.

  23. O

    Pizza Antica

Artisan pizzas baked the old-fashioned way, in stone ovens, are the specialty here. Grab a sidewalk table on Santana Row and enjoy a cold tap beer while San Jose's best pizza is crafted to order.

  24. P

    Vendetta's

In overpriced and borderline snooty Vail, this throwback pizza joint wins for aroma, ambience and, well, pizza. They do steaks and chops as well as pasta dishes too, but the pizza is what satisfies.

  25. Q

    Claudio's

Classic Italian fare and pizzas are served to ravenous hordes at this old-fashioned but oh-so-popular storefront. Tables outside are in demand in summer. Many opt for takeout and the comfort of their rooms.

  26. R

    Savario’s

This tiny, family-run takeout pizza shop serves tasty pizzas and calzones, and remains something of a Portsmouth secret – despite winning ‘best in town’ awards for its homemade pies.

  27. S

    Bonobo

On a pleasant residential street in the West End, Bonobo is a neighborhood favorite for its delicious thin-crust pizzas. You can eat there, or order it to go – and enjoy it on the nearby Western Promenade.
