Lonely Planet review for Lekki Conservation Centre

Run by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, this centre has a huge tract of wetlands set aside for wildlife viewing. Raised walkways enable you to see monkeys, crocodiles and various birds; early morning is the best time to visit. There is a conservation centre and a library.

Nice private trail to walk and see monkeys.

I was surprised and happy to find this place considering that there are not many green areas to walk in Victoria Island (Lagos). This place is clean, peaceful and safe. It worth to support this conservation initiative. Entrance is only N 500 and you can see also a couple of big turtles walking around the entrance gate. Nice place for kids. In addition for its location you can visit also the Lekki Market that is a safe and interesting place to buy Nigerian Cloths, music and some souvenirs.
