This excellent beach restaurant is the place to go for a more upmarket seafood dinner, with professional service and delicious seafood; the pulpo al vapor (steamed octopus with a tasty garlicky sauce) is highly recommended.

    Traditional “Nica” night – Thursdays

    El Timón hosts a traditional Nicaraguan night on Thursdays. They have traditional food, traditional music and traditional dancing. Fun experience.

    Amazing Seafood Platter

    My first time to Nicaragua was December 20-22, 2009, and what an amazing time did we have! My friend was craving some fresh seafood and El Timon was recommended. This place was amazing and the food was outstanding. We ordered the seafood platter that was filled to the brim with Octopus, Large shrimp, 2 lobsters, 2 filets , tons of clams, squid, doused in garlic butter, served with rice , salad and plantains. Huge platter for around $25.00. Plenty to share with a friend and still have left overs, really 3 people could enjoy this!
