Lonely Planet review for La Gran Via

Chinese food comes hot, fresh and in large portions; the soups are great. Lunch specials are a better deal.

    BEST EGGROLLS!!!!!!!

    estefani recommends this,

I love the eggrolls here, and they're vegetarian! Wonton soup is huge and cheap. Spicy vegetables lunch item is sizable and less then $4. Garlic broccoli was good too. True that the portions are large, so when in doubt, just ask how big it is. I would stick with the Chinese food here. I tried a ham and cheese toasted sub, and it was gross...I didn't really think you could mess that up. The "american cheese" here is not what it is in the U.S. and neither is the deli ham. Have had relatively good service here. If you're looking for a good toasted sub, try Coffee Cafe or Rincon Pinareno.

    Serious quality control issues

    leland recommends this,

Lunch special is more likely to be fresh. Look at it before you eat it.

    Excellent food and big portions

    traveling_hab recommends this,

The Gran Via serves excellent food. The Lo Mein, Chow Mein, and Chinese Fried Rice are all massive portions, big enough for two small eaters and even big eaters should expect to take some home for later. They also serve way better sandwiches than places that supposedly specialize in sandwiches. Their fruit juices and "batidos" are very nice.
