  5. HOT: WLG Wellington Pop-up Restaurant, 153 Gertrude St, Fitzroy

Blog: MEL: Hot or Not - 19 November 2011

For the last week I’ve been watching the corner of Gertrude and Napier Streets with interest. WLG stamped on the walls. Brightly coloured metal chairs lining long tables on the pavement. A dude with an enormous 19th century handlebar moustache working the tables. The answer? The WLG Wellington pop-up restaurant has landed in Melbourne to [...]

    Blog: Wanderlust - 16 July 2010

Tongariro National Park On the first of July I took a short three hour flight from Sydney to Auckland, New Zealand. Blog: i'm ash - 14 May 2010

After recovering from my Tongarrio race I arrived in Wellington, New Zealand’s capital. I checked into Nomads, which I recommend, and spent a week working and in between checking out the city.  I didn’t spend much time exploring but the highlights were the Te Papa Museum, New Zealand’s national museum.  Also Cuba Street was cool, very [...]

Blog: Some Travel Required - 6 February 2010

It's been a few days since our last update (sorry!) but we've been on the move pretty much every day so it's been hard to find time (I know, wah wah such a hard life we lead, haha).Anyway, here's what we've been up to over the last few days...About halfway through our NZ stay we realized that 3 weeks is nowhere near enough time to see this place.  You could spend 3 weeks on just one of the islands and still not see it all.  We've agreed that when we come back (and we will be coming back!) that we'll need 5-6 weeks minimum to do it right.

Street lamps flowed in channels off the rumpled hills that shepherd the city to the southern coast [...]
