There is a Food Safety and Customer Service problem there
kennykk does not recommend this,
There is a Food Safety problem in the shop and very poor customer complains handling at this shop
I bought a fish in the shop at 11:43AM Sunday, 23 October 2011. After a selected a fish, a customer-like man worked from my back into the work-area, used his unwashed hand to grad my fish and handed it to a old customer service woman. I thought he bought the fish, but the woman said, it was my fish, and the man worked in the shop during the week.
That man walked out the shop when I was paying. I told the old customer service woman that, I do not like him to touch my fish with his hand. The woman turned to me aggressively, said ‘I uses my hands to grad the fish all the time, if you do not want the fish, I give you money back!’
I did not want to argue wive her, and walked out the shop. I would raise a complaint to city council Food Safety and Environmental Health team for the sake of Wellingtonians and the fame of New Zealand capital.

The Best Fish n Chips In Wellington
daviesap recommends this,
If you want the freshest fish in town cooked to order with a huge portion of chips then look no further than Wellington Trawling. Top end of Cuba Street in the last remaining unsanitized part of town this is undoubtedly the best place to score takeaway or eat in seafood or buy a piece of wet fish or some prawns to take home.
Highly recommended.
