Lonely Planet review for Fidel’s
A Cuba St institution for caffeine-craving, upbeat left-wing subversives. Eggs any-which-way, pizza and amazing salads are pumped out of the itsy kitchen, along with Welly’s best milkshakes. Revolutionary memorabilia adorn the walls of the funky interior; decent outdoor areas too. A superbusy crew copes with the chaos admirably.

One of the best breakfasts i've had
hindy89 recommends this,
Cuba street is just packed with interesting alternative places and Fidel's is one of them.
I got dropped off here to wander and came here for breakfast. Was so hard to choose so I chose eggs florentine plus bought a gluten free god heavenly muffin. BUY A MUFFIN.

Caffeine & Communism
onelungwonder recommends this,
My personal favorite of all the cafes in Wellington, their modest all day menu is complemented with tasty baking and fresh salads but it is the coffee that has forever tattooed Fidel's name across my heart. Lively outdoor seating is always bustling with the late night crowds of caffeine addicts and the communist charm is so inviting that it never gets old...
