Midnight Espresso

One thing I love about Wellington - you can go out in the wee hours and treat yourself to something deliciously satisfying! The food is a great mix of vegan delights through to decadent treats. It's an eclectic and creative little spot with the random old school video game, tunes pumping and original artwork splashed all over the walls. Food and atmosphere aside, you hit Midnight Espresso for the world's best hot chocolate. Be sure to ask for a dollop of fresh cream. You won't regret it!

Great cafe that has become somewhat of an institution in Wellington. It's popular for being open really late, and for their fantastic cakes and great selection of vegan/vegetarian food. Ok so the service isn't that great and may have to wait awhile for your scone to be heated - but the cafe has a great atmosphere and the best iced-chocolate you'll ever have.
