Kawhia Beachside S-Cape
Lonely Planet review
Perfectly positioned on the water’s edge, this camping ground looks shabby from the road but has comfortable cottages. There’s a smart laundry and ablutions block, but the backpackers' area is rudimentary at best – camping is a better bet. Two-hour kayak hire is $12 per person.
