I am going to apply for a Working Holiday Visa for New Zealand for later this year (I am from the UK). I know that if you have been to low risk TB countries they will require a chest scan.

I have not been to any of these countries, but I want to stop off in Hong Kong and possibly Thailand on the way there (as most flights have layovers in Asia anyway). Will I require a chest scan then for my WHV, and if so, how would I go about getting one, as I'm just flying onward?

I have something of a problem on my hands here; I´m a uk citizen, but for the past 3 years I have been living in Spain for 9 months working as a teacher and then returning to the UK during the summer for 3 months. The embassy website states that anyone who has been áway´from the country for more than two years no longer meets the criteria of being ordinarily resident, but my question is, if I have been coming back for three months of the year, does that discount me? And if I gave an address in…

Hi all, home of you might recognise my name from some time ago.

I'm trying to plan a trip re-visiting around a few key places in the S. Island, and have hit an impasse at one point on the return leg.
We're on public transport (mostly Intercity/Newmans, but sometimes trains, ferries, Atomic and Nakedbus).
Aiming to get from Tekapo to Picton in one day, planning to stay the night in Picton....but so far it seems that the earliest transport out of Tekapo is late lunch time, arriving ChCh at…

Fay and I and our two girls (ms 2 and ms5) live in an area outside of Auckland known for it's proximity to vineyards and tremendous nature walks while being close to the city and closer to the beaches on the West coast. It's also central to many of the attractions you'd drive north for and the home is warm, dry, modern and spacious. We also have spare room in our home which we are happy to offer up to the right person in exchange for duties to help keep the house running (eg washing, cooking…

Hey, I'm looking for a travel companion to explore the South Island with me! I'll be there from May to mid-August. I'm keen to meet people and talking to myself is a bit boring now... I have a car and I plan to gradually head south from Picton, moving from coast to coast. But nothing set yet. If you're intested, let me know!

Hello. I have three nights planned in Te Anau. I had planned to use this as a base to do Milford and Doubtful Sound but now I think I will just do Milford Sound from Queenstown.

Are there any destinations surrounding Queenstown/Wanaka/Christchurch that are popular with backpackers? I'm not a huge hiker if that helps but love lakeside resorts with the possibility of doing some outdoors activities.

Hello!

I am traveling with two friends to New Zealand from mid-May to mid-June as a post-graduation trip, and we are seeking advice on our itinerary! We have read online that the weather can we unpredictable during the season we are traveling during, and we would like to see as much of the outdoors as we can as the weather allows. Specifically, we are looking for recommendations for day-hikes in the South island that will be physically challenging, but will not require advanced hiking equipment…
