Hey, I'm looking for a travel companion to explore the South Island with me! I'll be there from May to mid-August. I'm keen to meet people and talking to myself is a bit boring now... I have a car and I plan to gradually head south from Picton, moving from coast to coast. But nothing set yet. If you're intested, let me know!

Hello. I have three nights planned in Te Anau. I had planned to use this as a base to do Milford and Doubtful Sound but now I think I will just do Milford Sound from Queenstown.

Are there any destinations surrounding Queenstown/Wanaka/Christchurch that are popular with backpackers? I'm not a huge hiker if that helps but love lakeside resorts with the possibility of doing some outdoors activities.

Hello!

I am traveling with two friends to New Zealand from mid-May to mid-June as a post-graduation trip, and we are seeking advice on our itinerary! We have read online that the weather can we unpredictable during the season we are traveling during, and we would like to see as much of the outdoors as we can as the weather allows. Specifically, we are looking for recommendations for day-hikes in the South island that will be physically challenging, but will not require advanced hiking equipment…

Hello All! I'm off to South Island for 19 days with my Wife for our Honeymoon in November (unbelievably excited) and while I have my itinerary pretty much done one of the things we were given as a wedding present was some money to go towards a Heli-hike. This was something we wanted to do but discounted due to the cost, but now that we've had some help there I was wondering if anyone could recommend an excursion or a company to book with, or are they all pretty much the same? We'll be there…

Hi there,

Wondering if anyone can help or knows the answer to this question. In 2008 I did a working holiday in New Zealand (it was amazing!) and I'm wondering if there's any way I can get another one.

I applied for the visa through SWAP in Canada (which is part of IEP, International Exchange Program). I have heard and thought that this was a slightly different visa than what you apply for directly via the Department of Immigration website. I was wondering if I could now apply for the visa via…

Hi! I'm a 25 year old female from the UK arriving in Queenstown early June this year to start my working holiday! I would like some advice on jobs and accommodation. I am torn between;

a) Applying for a hospitality job before I go with NZSki to work a ski season (although I may be too late now? Plus I have never skied but would love to work on one of the mountains as I hear it is amazing) and start work as soon as I arrive or;
B) Arrive without having a job secured and travel around a bit…

Hello all,
I'm thinking about heading over to New Zealand on a working holiday visa. Ideally will be before the end of the year! I'm an electrician and have been told there is a lot of work in Christchurch at the moment.

I'm looking to see if there is anyone else thinking of travelling to New Zealand and would like to meet up or give me some advice on where to visit and set up etc..
