Hi, planning a 6 week trip to NZ from the UK at the back end of this year; I want to travel earliest mid-October and return home for xmas at the latest. That gives a period of around 8-9 weeks to play around with. Broad question; when would be the best part of that window to visit NZ? I’m thinking the later I leave it the better the weather as it’ll be nearing summer, however nearing xmas and holiday times which I assume will be busier/expensive?
Planning to tour both islands with a hop on hop…
Working in NZ atm and planing to go travel the NZ i November. I finish my working periode in the very end of October and travel NZ in November. I live in Christchurch and leaving the country from Auckland dec 5th.
I'm a down to earth smiling guy who's very much up for adventures. I would love to hike and stuff like that, which I have done a few times here in NZ already. I'm also keen to party and having a drink once in a while.
I reckon it could be awsome to collect a group of peops to go travel…
Had a quick look through and couldn't see anyone discussing this.
Applied last Wednesday (24th) online whilst in Auckland and it's been saying "pending" now since that day.
I looked with horror that it could be up to 23 days on their website. Surely it's faster than that?
I had to do a medical which I've done and submitted.
My gf who did the Brazilian one on the same day received her's today. What a horrible process that Brazilian one is - thank god the UK one is unlimited...
I've been travelling around Asia for 5 months now and will be off to NZ at the end of September for 5/6 weeks.
I'm 26 and have been researching into the Kiwi Experience and Stray. From reading, it seems that the Kiwi experience is very 18yo and Stray isn't as sociable.
I'm looking for some fun and like minded people to travel with in a camper van. looking for fun laidback people, girls or guys, who want to drink but not crazy party animals every night!
Message me if you're interested.
I have seen several posts related to travel advice for May, but they are several years old so I thought I would attempt to revisit the topic with this wonderful forum!
We are planning a 19 day trip (minus 2 days for air travel from US) beginning May 15, 2017 to June 3. As mentioned above, we have read several posts related to weather and travel during the month of May and they have us on the fence. It seems like days will be getting cooler and shorter as the area transitions into winter. On the…
Looking to spend 6 weeks in NZ Mid October to December 2016. Im from UK and wouldn’t specifically need a "visa" (as far as I can tell). I would be getting return flights to Auckland, I would like to fly from NZ to Australia and spend a couple of weeks there before flying back to NZ and picking up my return flight from Auckland back home.
I have emailed the NZ visa website to clarify this but off the top of your head, does anyone know if this is allowed/would I need a special Visa type?
I am planning to spend six weeks in new zealand. i already have the plane flight booked so no need to calculate that into cost, but i was thinking about 70NZD a day for a daily budget. i will be staying in hostels the whole trip maybe couchsurf or WOOff as well. i will be cooking most of my own meals and trying to hitchhike as much as possible. i want to save most of the money for sightseeing, bungee jumping, skydiving. i will be in new zealand for 42 days. i leave in a month and am just…
I am really hoping you can help......
I have been advised that I meet the Skilled Worker criteria however I am struggling to work out how the visa system works.
I have been advised by a number of companies they can support me with this but at a pricey costs of £2000!!
I am keen to find out how others have applied and been successful in migrating across to NZ as an ex-pat and what visas they have applied for, how to do it, what websites I would need to use etc...
I am a single(sigh), 36…
We are going to be traveling to Queenstown this October for our honeymoon. We will be in NZ for 8 days and 8 nights. Right now, we are staying in Queenstown the entire time, but I would like to take one or two nights to travel somewhere else on the island and try to stay at a different location (or multiple locations). We'd like to do some hiking and see other sites (already planning to do the Milford Sound and a day of wineries).
Any recommendations on where to go/stay and the best way to do…
Hi Guys :)
My boyfriend & I (24 and 25) are backpacking New Zealand for a few months over summer, and surprise surprise, want to do it as cheap as possible not only to save money but to have more local interactions than on tour buses/stays at chain hostels etc. We are both very well traveled throughout Asia so are somewhat experienced travellers.
We primarily are planning on hitchhiking and camping but am wondering for those times we don't, the cheapest way to travel. We are not wanting to…
