Lonely Planet review

Fashioned from an ageing motel, our favourite Taupo hostel has private rooms with en suites and supercomfy beds. The staff rival the cartoon blackcurrants in the Ribena ads for chirpiness.

Our independent authors have visited Blackcurrant Backpackers and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Taupo.
