    Simply the best Indian in the world !

    I am a multi award winning former chef and restaurant owner and I am happy to say Indian Star in Rotorua is without doubt the very best Indian food I have ever eaten and believe me I have tried the world over.I have travelled the globe for 30 years and good food is a key target of my travels. Haha I am so hungry just thinking about their food- Rogan Josh Lamb, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Cheese Naan bread- I wouldn't care if I had to eat this food in the back alley it is simply brilliant. I learnt how to cook Indian at the Oberoi in Mumbai and so fellow curry lovers I have trained with the best. I first started eating at the Indian Star just after they opened in 2000 and would have eaten 100 meals there. Every friend I have ever recommended just rave about the eating experience. We now live in Perth but just had 11 weeks in NZ and was fortunate to eat at Indian Star a dozen wonderful times while in Rotorua. I have to stop writing my mouth is seriously watering at the thought of their brilliant food. In short travel to NZ just to try this constantly stunning food ! I would rate this restaurant 10 out of 10
