Can anyone tell me whether New Zealand retailers routinely charge extra for using credit cards, compared with ,say, cash or debit cards? Also is there a common minimum purchase for Credit card use
So I'm a 22 y/o Irish girl, travelling to Auckland June-Aug for work shadowing. I'll be flying from London (anywhere in the UK really) and have the intention of travelling a bit either side. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the best way to do this. I have done quite a bit of travelling by myself so keen to go somewhere with some decent weather and safe enough for me, solo.
I have found cheap return flights to Phuket or the Philippines, but would getting flights from there to…
we are a couple with 3 kids (11,7,1) and we will spend 9 weeks in NZ next summer (January, February, first days of March). Our idea is to rent a large car and to stay at baches/holiday apartments, mostly for 3 to 5 nights at one place (we have rented campers in other countries, and it is not our favourite option). What to you think about this idea?
We know it willl be high season. This is why we are planning to book early. Here is our planned itinerary. What do you think about it? We kindly…
I'm planning on visiting New Zealand for their winter (my summer) to ski various mountains. I'm looking to shred with someone who is a very experienced rider like myself. Would love to check out Craigie and some of the more main ski resorts. Would be interested in touring and such. Let me know if you are shredding this winter and need a buddy who can keep up!
I'm hoping to fly to New Zealand and know that the USA is a waived country so I don't need to apply for a Visa.
However, I read that I need to fill out the arrivals form and waiver visa information upon arrival. That being said, one requirement was proof of return journey.
As standby, I have listed myself for a flight and will have it listed and be given a record locator and have all the flight information for the flight I'm trying to get on.
Is that sufficient? Or do I need a confirmed seat as…
My plans have changed and I will be going to NZ in September. I'm attending a conference in Australia and it makes more sense (affordable) to go to NZ from there. I will be arriving September 16th. I'd like to stay 2 to 3 weeks and travel by bus and stay in hostels. My ideal trip would be to stay about four days in each place I go and hike around. I'm overwhelmed by all the choices. Oh, and I'm 71 but fit.
Hi! We are planning to travel in New Zealand for four weeks in May. We are traveling with our 12 months old baby/toddler. Old enough to be heavy to carry but not old enough to walk :) There seem to be many beautiful national parks/spots in NZ and we are wondering which of them would be easy to access with a baby. Can you recommend any national parks where you can drive quite close to some of the main sights or where are nice, short walks with beautiful scenery or even tracks wide enough for a…
I was wondering if anybody has gone through the NZQA application or applied to be registered as a teacher in NZ?
I'm currently in the process of it all, but have a feeling i'm missing something important out!
Hi! Can anyone recommend me a place to go stargazing and camping around Auckland? Somewhere we can get to via public transport since we can't drive.
Preferably a camping ground that already has cabins or tents for rent as well. But if there's a place we can go stargazing without having to camp there, that's alright as well.
Any recommendations or advice would be great!
I'll be traveling to Auckland around mid May. Thank you!
