I´m a 18 years old german, looking for one or more travellers to discover whole New Zealand with. I
d like to buy or rent a car to be more flexible on this trip. On this journey I would like to do some of the great walks as well as some smaller hikes, so it would be good, if youre interested in this as well. I don`t have an exact plan yet and am also flexible on dates. The only fixed date is that I have to finish this trip until the middle of March.
If you`re interested to join me, I´d be…
We're doing the Routeburn track in the month of March. Once we reach the Divide we'd like to cruise up or down the Milford Sound for a few hours before continuing onto Greenstone and Caples.
How feasable is this? Is there reliable transportation? Any recommendations as to how we could fit the Sound in?
Hi all, we're planning our trip to NZ in nov/dec this year. Booked already a campervan, pick up in Chirstchurch and returning after 31 days in Auckland. Want to book the ferry in advance, so we're planning the best route. difficult to decide after how many days we should move from Southern Island to Northern Island. What would you recommend us? I was thinking we should spend around 16/17 days in the South and then travel for the last 14 days to the North.
I'm heading from Christchurch to Queenstown November 13. It's a scenic, 7ish hour drive and wanted to know if any other backpackers were interested in splitting a car rental. Lots of gorgeous outdoorsy spots along the way, and I'd be dropping the car in Queenstown, although my ultimate destination is Wanaka.
I'm female, 27, headed to Wanaka for vineyard work- just looking to make the drive a bit easier on myself.
First of all thanks to all the awesome people here helping out. I got so much help for planning my trip from answers to other posters.
Visiting from 13th to 26th (12 days not excluding flight days). Land and Wellington and exit from Christchurch.
I am confused between Kaikoura and Rotoura. I originally planned to do Kaikoura, but now my travel agent insists that Kaikoura is not that great and i definitely shouldn't miss out on Rotoura and Tauranga, for it. I love wildlife and nature…
after travveling around many countries in SE Asia (Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia) I planed to travel to Newzealand for about 3 Month from November. Accidentally I saw a website, where was mentioned that Newzealand became one of the most dangerous countries through the last years and that many many tourists were injured or killed by various gangs all over the country, especialy Auckland, Paihia, Wellington Christchurch. Furtheremore it was mentioned, that tourists often are…
Dear travellers to NZ!
Last summer (jan 16) we visited NZ – the north and south island and we had a really great time. The only wrong decision was the selection of the car rental agency.
Never ever rent your campervan at CAMPERVANSNEWZEALAND.CO.NZ – it was the most horrible experience we ever had when renting a vehicle abroad (and believe us, we have seen a lot;))! It was a big mistake!
Here is a summary of our experiences:
1. First of all we made the mistake not to take detailed pictures of the…
