Lonely Planet review
This arty backpackers resides in two sweet heritage buildings, one a former post office. It's colourful and close to the beach but sheltered from the breeze. As well as a laid-back lounge, and a separate one for tele-viewers, there are decks and verandas to chill out on.
Our independent authors have visited Albatross Backpacker Inn and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Kaikoura.
