Caffe Roma

Simple well cooked food and plenty of it, using seasonal local ingredients..  Lots of choice.  Plenty of specials so plenty of changes every time you go, with the old favorites always available.  Great cup of coffee.  Warm fire blazing in the hearth makes for a lovely cosy atmosphere.  Daily newspapers and comfortable places to sit and read while sipping a delicious coffee.  Relaxed and suitable for groups or solo travellers.  In the center of town, with lovely river walks close by.  Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - when I had a problem with an ingredient I was allergic to, which was not mentioned on the menu my meal was replaced with a smile and was free!  Highly recommended.

Any trip I make to Christchurch is not complete without a visit to cosy cafe - Cafe Roma. I love the fact that you feel like you are in someone's lounge - however despite the homely atmosphere the food and service is still as professional as it should be. I personally love their pancakes - a hearty serving of deliciousness that goes down a treat for breakfast or lunch. Everything Cafe Roma do they do well,  I would highly reccommend this gorgeous cafe to any travellers - young, old, rich, poor they have something to suit everyone!
