When you're on a winning formula you may as well stick to it, which is clearly what the mandarins at the Sky City were thinking when they recently opened an even flasher version of their franchise. Hence the name, Sky City Grand.
Where Sky City is a four-star hotel in the casino complex, this place ups the stakes by being five-star and a truly smart experience. Rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated, with the sort of elaborate bed-making skills that resemble origami, and stunning floral arrangements throughout the shared spaces. Service is amongst the best in the city, with a real feel of 'your wish is my command' from the time you step up to the reception desk. It's multilingual and well placed to advise guests on the best eating, drinking, shopping and sightseeing options. A great indoor pool makes staying fit a breeze (the gym is also a high-tech beauty). If you're here on business, there's a damn fine centre for that, making it almost pleasurable. This is easily the best five-star addition to the city's roll call of big name sleeps.
