Northeast Coast Getting there & around

Getting there & around

It doesn't matter too much whether you head up or down the northeast coast, as you can take any of the roads across from the west coast at Bourail, Koné or Koumac. If you head across on one of the roads south of Bourail the stretch of road between Kouaoua, north of Canala, and Houaïlou winds through the mines and can seem very long.
